BigNames makes calling people in your contact list easy.
Large, high-contrast text allows everyone (not just people with reduced vision) to easily browse names and select the correct number.
* uses your existing contact list
* supports both landscape and portrait orientation (landscape orientation uses an even larger font)
* uses the nicknames youve defined in your contact list (e.g. Dad, Sis)
* skips loading contacts that dont have phone numbers
* browse names or jump to a specific part of your contact list
* add a star to frequently dialled contacts so they appear at the top of your list
* English, French, German and Japanese language support

Some bad moments
Thank you so much for this app. It is great to find something for people with visual impairments. I also recommend this app for anyone who dials numbers while driving.
My wife has poor vision, but BigNames allows her to see her contacts! She is not a techie, but it is easy to use. She loves BigNames. We are awaiting any other apps from xinsight to make her iPhone more useable.
This app addresses a major flaw in iPhone accessibilty. Highly recommended.
I am legally blind and use this everytime I look up a contact.
There is one disappointing flaw. When veiwing a contacts info, the name of the contact and phone number ARE IN SMALL PRINT. Those of us who bought this NEED PRINT TO BE L A R G E R. Simply make ALL THE TEXT in your app LARGE PRINT, and this will be perfect.
Current bug: Ever since the last update, the app just closes after tapping about half of my Contacts. I dont notice any pattern as to why tapping some numbers will dial, and some will just close the app.
Much needed ror the low vision community. Like to see a recent calls, missed feature. And if theres a way to filter based on groups. For example Id have home in BigNames but not work (which might have 1,000 contacts). Or at least a way to switch betw groups. But Id gladly pay more.
Yucky product would rather have had a mcdonalds ice cream cone instead of this but there is simply a lot of garbage apps out there for iPhones this is one of them
